Since 2006 GO Transit has been transporting people through the University of Guelph bus loop via buses. There are 4 heated platforms located in the Bus Loop. Approximately 100 buses travel to the University during the week and 50 buses on weekends.
There is 2.3 million people using the University bus loop yearly!
Go Transit Trains
Since Dec 2011, GO Transit Trains have been offering train service to Guelph and Kitchener. Two morning trains will leave from Kitchener and head east to the Via train station on Carden Street in Guelph, and then carry on with stops in Georgetown, Mount Pleasant, Brampton, Bramalea, Malton, Etobicoke North, Weston and Bloor GO stations. Two evening trains bring commuters home at night along the same route.
Go Transit Ticketing Services
GO Transit has a new ticketing service called Presto. Clients can load money to the card which works like a debit card. When they swipe it, the cost of a fare comes off.
