Electric Vehicle Parking
Electric vehicles are only permitted to park in an electric vehicle charging station parking space during the active charging cycle. Some locations are limited to a daily maximum of four hours.
Any electric vehicle that remains parked after the daily maximum/is not actively charging is in violation and subject to University sanction.
Electric vehicle charging station parking spaces can be accessed by those who do not hold either a green/red parking permit or green/yellow permit, by paying the appropriate parking fees through PaybyPhone/HONK.
The parking rate charged is for parking only and there will be no charge for electricity as a commodity.
University fleet vehicles are exempt from having to hold a parking permit while using an electric vehicle charging station parking space.

GREEN/RED Electric Vehicle Non-Reserved: This permit is for customers who require the use of electric vehicle charging stations. This permit allows the following: Daily use of EV charging stations across campus P4, P12, P23, and P31 are 4 hour max limit. P15, P48, P49, P30 and P59 have no max limit. Your vehicle must be moved to a regular permit area when finished charging. AND Access to the Red colour zones across campus. Spaces are available on a first come first served basis. The permit does NOT guarantee a parking space in a specific lot. If a favourite is full, permit holders are required to proceed to the next available lot within the authorized zones. |
