How do I use HONK?

If you are visiting the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) James Archibald Small Animal Clinic
or
OVC Mona Campbell Centre for Animal Cancer
there are HONK Mobile signs

located in Lot P67
or
in the lobby of each clinic,

that allow you to park your vehicle and make a payment electronically.

 

8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday

 

Payment Options:  Visa, Visa Debit, MasterCard
 


Rates (May '23 - Apr 25): 
$20.50 per day with $0.35 transaction fee 
or 
$3.25 per hour with $0.35 transaction fee

 

Rates (May '24 -Apr '25): 
$21.00 per day with $0.35 transaction fee 
or 
$3.50 per hour with $0.35 transaction fee

You have several options to pay:

Step 1:  

  • Download HONK mobile app from the apple store or google play or
  •  Scan the QR code on one of the HONK signs located located inside the lobby of the Small Animal Clinic or the Cancer Clinic.

Step 2:  Enter Zone ID

  • Each area has it's own unique ID!
  • The zone ID is posted on the HONK signs located within the lot.
  • If you scan the QR code, the Zone ID will populate for you.

Step 3:  Enter parking duration

  • Select how long you would like to purchase parking for

Step 4:  Add vehicle information

  • Enter vehicle license plate, and select "Add vehicle" .

Step 5:  Add Credit Card

  • Select "New Credit Card" (if you have not already set up a credit card in app previously)
  • Then select "Credit or Debit", enter card number, card CVV, card expiry date and zip code
  • Select "Add Card"

Step 6:  Payment

  • At checkout please verify that all information is correct - plate number, start/end time, payment method.
  • If correct, select "Pay and Park"
  • The parking fee will be charged to your method of payment.  You can opt to receive text messages/alerts to be notified about your parking request (carrier rates apply).
  • If you opt to receive alerts, you can manage/extend the length of your parking session without returning to your vehicle, but will be limited to the maximum duration permitted under local area parking restrictions
